Belt skiving tool for Thermofix belt joining.
A preparing device for skiving of Habasit belts and tapes. The belt is clamped and stuck to a steel plate. It is ground manually by means of a grinding disk. The Skiver is especially suitable for occasional preparation of single belts or spindle tapes on site; it is not designed for fabrication in series.
- Skive belts up to 60mm wide x 2mm thick
- Max skive length up to 40mm
- Grinds belt ends to a thin wedge for a glued joint
- When glueing the belt ends must be skived.
